Hi! I’m Lynn.
I consider myself living the dream by attending births and helping women accomplish their greatest feat of creating and bringing life into the world.
The dream started when I was very young, perhaps from day one, with a deep love for babies and the miracle of pregnancy. As a teen, I latched onto pursuing a career in delivering babies and couldn’t imagine myself doing anything more fulfilling. Without knowing anyone in the birth world to steer my path, I considered and pursued many different routes in the medical world before discovering home birth midwifery. That was it. The perfect fit for me! I immediately fell in love with this model of care that allows me to consider each woman and baby individually, free from bureaucratic policies and limited patient interactions, full of opportunity to connect with each family. It has been my great honor since 2017 to walk with families through the highs and lows of pregnancy and child birth. In early 2020, I completed the North American Registry of Midwives’ (NARM) Portfolio Evaluation Process in order to become a Certified Professional Midwife. My aim is to help women reclaim birth as an event by which they are empowered and to facilitate wise, healthy decisions for their care.

When I’m not chugging coffee and catching babies, you can find me in my flower garden (or longing for the warmer months when I will again have a garden), crocheting up a storm, cheering on the Boston Celtics or chasing around my cat, Mildred, while she dodges my undying affection.
I landed on the name “Keeper Midwifery Care” for a few reasons. First of all, it was (and still is) my nickname growing up. My dad said, “She’s a keeper,” and it stuck. Rarely do my parents call me Lynn. Given my familiarity with the name, it struck me when people started telling me I’m a gate keeper for new life. I love that — watching little ones designed by God enter from the heavenly-seated arms of the Father through the gates to this world. It’s my honor to guard this passage. The third, and most important layer to this name is that the Lord is my Keeper. Before each birth (and many moments in between), I ask the Lord to be present, leading and guiding. My faith in Jesus Christ is integral in every part of my life, and I am continually grateful for His guidance and protection in both my midwifery practice and personal life.
