FAQs

There are pros and cons to taking the class early or late in your pregnancy. The earlier you take the class, the more time you have to implement some of the tips, tricks, and information. The later you take the class the fresher the information will be and easier to recall. I recommend you start and complete the classes between 24-36 weeks gestation.

I am a home birth midwife first and foremost. I consider that a major benefit for the content of the class. The downfall is that birth is unpredictable and babies don't care if I have a class scheduled. In the case that a patient of mine goes into labor during a class session, I will attend their birth, cancel class, and use the next make-up date to complete the session. This may mean that class is cancelled after you have already headed that way or at anytime during class. Fortunately, these interruptions are few, especially those that are last minute. I will contact the phone number included on your registration to announce any rescheduling.

Unfortunately, at this time, there are no recordings for you to view or repeat sessions for you to attend. Be sure that you are available for all of the class session dates AND the make-up dates. Make-up dates will only take place if the class is cancelled because the instructor is attending a birth.
Stay tuned in the future for more options!

A refund of $200 for the Childbirth class and $66 for the Newborn Care Class can be issued if your cancellation has been confirmed 14 days prior to the class. After that, no refund will be issued.
Please contact me if circumstances like a death in the family, hospitalization or other emergencies prevent you from attending.
Delivery of your baby at or after 37 weeks gestation will not be considered an emergency. Please consider your due date when booking the class.

If the class session and make-up dates simply won't work for you, please contact me. I will continue to schedule new classes, and knowing how much interest I have will help me determine the dates.
A private class may also be scheduled depending on my availability.
I still have questions.
If your question wasn’t answered in the FAQ’s or you would like me to fill you in about future classes, please, send me a note!
